Painting In Progress - The Three JokersClick images for larger versions. Pencils This is how I start with a pencil sketch on the canvas.  Flat Colors In Acrylics I then put flat colors on in acrylics just to show me where eveything is.  Background Oils Here I have fleshed out the background color in oils adding a bit of graduation.  Working On The Clothing I have started working on the clothing here starting with the Jack Nicholson Joker and the Heath Ledger Joker since their coats are the same color. I managed to somehow smudge Jacks face, but I can paint over that. Here are some close-ups.   I must apologize for the poor photo quality.  Cesar Romero's Clothing In the stage I worked on the Cesar Romero Joker's clothing.  Working The Hair At this stage I'm working the hair. I want to keep each Joker's hair color as close as I can.  Working The Faces Here I wanted to work on all three of the Joker's faces so I could keep the colors close. You may be thinking "well, the faces are just white", but there is actually more colors than just white to be used for like shadows and such. Next I will work on details and correcting stuff.
